Administrative Assistant

Natick Walpole Visiting Nurse - Walpole, MA

NWVNA is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work in the home care setting. Flexible schedule and competitive salary!

Duties will include:

  • Performs a wide variety of office support tasks within the agency

  • Manages timely and accurate computer processing of medical data, scanning in signed verbal orders and plans of care.

  • Maintains accurate log of outstanding doctors’ orders.  Pursues all doctors’ orders outstanding beyond 14 days.

  • After three unsuccessful attempts to obtain signed orders, incumbent communicates with Marketing Liaisons for assistance in obtaining them.

  • Enters referrals into system as requested.

  • Answers phone calls and directs calls to appropriate person.

  • Promotes a positive image of the agency.

  • Maintains confidentiality on all agency matters.

  • Adheres to all agency policies and procedures.

  • Assists employees as needed.

  • Handles special projects as assigned, researching and compiling data from many sources.

  • Produces documents, utilizing home health software and other computer programs.

  • Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

 

Requirements:

  • Administrative writing skills, working knowledge of computer, extensive Microsoft Office Skills, ability to analyze information, problem solving, time management, organization, attention to detail, quality focus, professionalism, productivity, thoroughness, coordination, deadline-oriented, internal communications, external communication including by phone and fax

  • High School Diploma required.   Business program preferred

  • Minimum one year Administrative Assistant experience in a health care setting preferred

 

Work Environment:

  • Must demonstrate ability to work in team oriented environment. 

  • Inside work 7.5 hours per day
